Location: Stafford, TX

About Priority:

Priority Commerceis a leading financial technology company on a mission to deliver a personalized, easy-to-adopt financial toolset that accelerates cash flow and optimizes working capital for businesses. Our vision is to eliminate the barriers to unlocking revenue - empowering businesses to grow faster and operate smarter.

We achieve this through the Priority Commerce Engine, an innovative platform that combines payables, acquiring, and banking and treasury solutions. This unified approach allows businesses to streamline financial operations, reduce unnecessary costs, and uncover new revenue opportunities.

At Priority Commerce, we're driven by results. We expect our people to be known for results - bringing expertise, momentum, and relentless focus to every challenge, helping our clients and each other thrive.

About the Role:

The Hardware Deployment & Configuration Specialist is responsible for the internal preparation, configuration, and quality control of payment terminals and POS hardware prior to merchant deployment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring devices are properly RKI’d, file-built, tested, labeled, and shipped accurately. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, process-driven, and organized, with a strong sense of accountability to ensure every device is fully functional and delivered to the correct destination.

Responsibilities:

Perform Remote Key Injection (RKI) on payment terminals and related devices.

Configure devices according to merchant file builds and deployment specifications.

Test hardware and payment functionality to confirm readiness.

Stage, prep, label, and package devices for shipment.

Ensure accurate assignment of hardware to the correct merchant, MID, and location.

Maintain organized inventory control and tracking logs.

Follow documented SOPs to ensure consistency and compliance.

Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate configuration or hardware issues.

Coordinate with deployment, fulfillment, and support teams to meet launch timelines.

What Success Looks Like:

Hardware is deployed right the first time — fully RKI’d, correctly file-built, tested, labeled, and matched to the exact merchant and location, minimizing rework and post-deployment issues.

Deployment timelines are predictable and reliable, enabling sales, deployment, and support teams to plan with confidence and execute smooth merchant go-lives.

Operational errors, shipment mistakes, and hardware-related support escalations are materially reduced through disciplined process execution and inventory accuracy.

Internal stakeholders trust the build and staging process, benefiting from clean handoffs, audit-ready documentation, and consistent execution that protects the merchant experience.

As volume scales, the deployment function remains structured and controlled, reducing friction and allowing leadership and cross-functional teams to focus on higher-impact priorities.

Candidate Requirements:

Qualification:

1–3 years of experience in hardware configuration, payments, POS systems, or technical operations preferred.

Experience with payment terminals and POS hardware strongly preferred.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Process-oriented mindset with the ability to follow structured workflows.

Comfortable working with technical systems and configuration tools.

Ability to manage multiple builds while maintaining accuracy.

Strong communication skills and team collaboration.
