Job summary

Landscaping by J. Michael in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Foreman to lead our on-site crew on a variety of landscape construction projects, from walkways to walls.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of masonry and landscape experience, a MA driver's license, and a strong work ethic, with opportunities for advancement and year-round work including snow operations. The foreman will lead crews, ensure safety and quality, lay out projects, guide installations, and operate

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in masonry and landscape construction.
• A valid Massachusetts driver’s license.
• Hydraulic license is a plus.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card.
• CDL B is preferred.
• A strong work ethic and the ability to lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage your crew, making sure everyone is set up for success each day.
• Lay out projects and guide the team through installations.
• Work on a variety of builds including walkways, patios, natural stone walls, bluestone, pavers, and segmented walls.
• Operate equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, compactors, saws, and other tools.
• Help maintain equipment and vehicles, keeping everything clean, safe, and in good working order.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Foreman, you’ll play a key role in bringing our projects to life. You’ll lead a crew on‑site and help ensure each job is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
