Christy Sports in Big Sky, MT is hiring a full-time hardgoods sales supervisor to assist the store manager with staff, inventory, and guest service.

You should have a strong ski/ride background, boot fitting experience, and supervisory experience within the snowsport industry. English fluency and effective communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of boot fitting experience.
• Minimum two years’ experience in the snowsport industry.
• English fluency, written and verbal; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate sales and maintain the high standard for guest service.
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of products and industry trends.
• Maintain merchandising of hardgoods product lines and store cleanliness standards.
• Maintain a strong boot-to-custom insole (and/or liners) sales ratio by demonstrating proper fitting to customers.
• Assist store manager in payroll budgeting, hiring, training, coaching and maintaining a high-quality staff.
• Assist store manager in administering company policies including cash handling, safety and loss prevention.
• Prepare, distribute and maintain required documentation.
• Must be able to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
• Demonstrate desire to grow within the company.
• Open and close store as required in absence of management.

Summary Description
Reporting to the Store Manager, this position is responsible for assisting in the management of the hardgoods sales staff and department inventory control to achieve the maximum profitability and continue to provide best-in-class guest service.

What You'll Be Doing (Besides Planning Your Next Run)

• Generate sales and maintain the high standard for guest service


• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of products and industry trends


• Maintain merchandising of hardgoods product lines and store cleanliness standards


• Maintain a strong boot-to-custom insole (and/or liners) sales ratio by demonstrating to the customer the enhancement of a proper fitting


• Assist store manager in monitoring and controlling the payroll budget


• Assist store manager in hiring, training, coaching, leading and maintaining a high-quality staff


• Assist store manager in administering company policies and procedures, including cash handling, safety and loss prevention


• Prepare, distribute and maintain company-required documentation


• Must have the ability to multi-task


• Demonstrate the desire to succeed and grow within the company


• Open and close store as required in absence of manager or assistant manager


• Other duties as may be assigned

What Makes You a Fit

• Strong ski and/or ride background


• Two or more years of boot fitting experience


• Prior supervisory experience


• Minimum of two years’ experience in the snowsport industry


• High school diploma or equivalent


• Experienced with POS systems preferred


• English fluency, written and verbal


• Excellent verbal and written communications skills


• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time


• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on a recurring basis
