Job summary

Christy Sports in Park City, UT is seeking a Hardgoods Sales/Bootfitter – Commission + Free Ski Pass. You’ll help guests find the right skis, boots, and bindings with personalized bootfitting and expert gear knowledge to ensure confident, enjoyable mountain experiences.

As part of a team that embraces the mountain lifestyle, you’ll keep displays inviting, share the latest gear trends, and deliver welcoming service to all guests, from first-timers to seasoned riders.

Qualifications

• Outgoing and friendly, able to talk ski or board shop all day.
• Love of skiing or snowboarding, or eagerness to learn.
• Flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Guide guests to the right skis, boots, and bindings with confidence.
• Provide personalized bootfitting for comfort and adventure.
• Share gear knowledge and industry trends with guests.
• Keep the shop displays clean and inviting.
• Create memorable experiences for beginners and experts.
• Support the team to keep the shop running smoothly.
• Other duties as assigned

Summary Description: As a Hardgoods Sales Associate, you’ll help every guest—whether they’re stepping into ski boots for the first time or chasing their next expert line—find the right skis, boots, and bindings to match their needs and goals. With your product knowledge, people skills, and passion for the outdoors, you’ll deliver welcoming, personalized service that ensures each guest leaves feeling confident, supported, and excited for their time on the mountain.

What You’ll Be Doing (Besides Planning Your Next Powder Day):

• Welcome guests like fellow mountain enthusiasts, guiding them to the right skis, boots, and bindings with confidence and care.
• Provide personalized bootfitting so every skier leaves feeling comfortable, supported, and ready for adventure.
• Share your stoke and knowledge of the latest gear, keeping up with industry trends and passing that excitement on to guests.
• Keep the shop vibe warm and inviting with clean, well-curated displays.
• Create memorable experiences for beginners finding their first setup and experts chasing their next big line alike.
• Be part of a team that has each other’s backs—pitching in wherever needed to keep the energy high and the shop running smoothly.
• Other duties as assigned

What Makes You a Fit:

• You’re outgoing, friendly, and can talk ski or board shop all day.
• You love to ski or snowboard (or are eager to learn).
• Flexible with your schedule — holidays, weekends, split shifts? No problem if it means more turns on the mountain.
• You’re good on your feet (literally — standing for hours is no big deal) and can lift up to 25 lbs.
• Basic computer skills for processing transactions and documentation
• Strong English fluency (written and verbal)
