Job summary

L&M Carpet One Floor and Home is seeking a dependable floor-covering installer to join their in-house crews in Mechanicsville, Virginia. You will work with carpet products for remodels and new construction, including wall-to-wall carpet and stair runners, and you will receive continued training and a company van and tools.

Ideal candidates have a drive to learn, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to collaborate with a skilled team of installers.

Qualifications

• 3 years of construction experience preferred.
• Ability to read layouts and blueprints.
• Ability to manage a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Ability to pass background check and drug testing.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Complete all floor-covering tasks for hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl, and sheet vinyl installations.
• Interact with customers on the job site in a professional manner.
• Maintain a professional appearance and customer service from start to finish.
• Attend training provided by L&M Carpet One and vendors.
• Troubleshoot field issues to keep on schedule and ensure project completion.
• Communicate progress and issues with the installation manager.
