Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina is seeking an associate at our Lexington, NC store to help sort and tag clothing, ensuring quality and accuracy in pricing. You will contribute to an efficient, clean work area and may cross-train in receiving, pricing, and cashier duties.

The role emphasizes dependable performance in a fast-paced retail environment. Pay starts at $15.00 per hour with store hours generally from 10am–8pm Monday through Saturday and 11am on Sundays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Production experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 10–35 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Sort clothing with eye for quality and defect detection.
• Hang and tag clothing while avoiding distractions and staying efficient.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area; pride in area efficiency.
• Cross-train in Cash Register, Receiving, pricing and stocking donations; may lift up to 50 lbs.

Clothing Hangers/Inspectors will be responsible for the following duties: -

• Sorting clothing: must have an eye for quality and be able to consistently be alert to defects. Goodwill does not stock merchandise which does not meets its quality standards.
• Hanging and tagging clothing requires the ability to avoid distractions and focus on working efficiently and quickly.
• Maintaining a safe and neat work environment- taking pride in the efficiency of their area.
• Position may include cross-training in the following areas: Cash Register; Receiving, pricing and stocking donations. (Receivers may occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and frequently lift and carry 10 to 35 pounds.)

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Production or similar experience preferred.

HOURS: Associates should be available to work most store hours, especially on evenings and weekends.

Stores are open Monday through Saturday 10am to 8pm, opening at 11AM on Sunday.

Pay: $15.00
