Job summary

Honey Homes in Chicago is hiring experienced handymen to service a dedicated territory of 40–50 homes. You’ll work Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–5 pm with no evenings, weekends, or on-call duties, and earn $35 per hour with a $1,000 sign-on bonus after 30 days and training graduation.

You will perform residential repair across carpentry, painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, and smart home device installation, collaborating with homeowners to keep their homes in top shape while tracking tasks in our

Qualifications

• 5+ years of handyman or multi-trade experience required.
• Prior work as maintenance technician, carpenter, plumber, or electrician strongly preferred.
• Experience in residential home repair and upkeep across multiple trade areas.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability — can independently assess and fix most issues in a home.
• Attention to detail (caulk lines, patching and painting).
• Customer-friendly attitude — great listener, strong communicator, proactive.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and tools.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Comfortable working on ladders or scaffolding up to 12 feet.

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of handyman or multi-trade experience required.
• Skilled across multiple trade areas under and learning from skilled carpenters, drywallers, painters, plumbers, and electricians.
• Prior work as a maintenance technician, carpenter, plumber, or electrician strongly preferred.
• Experience in residential home repair and upkeep across multiple trade areas.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability — can independently assess and fix most issues in a home.
• Attention to detail (clean caulk lines, professional patching, and painting).
• Customer-friendly attitude — great listener, strong communicator, proactive.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and tools.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly (with or without reasonable accommodation).
• Comfortable working on ladders or scaffolding at heights up to 12 feet.
