Handyman Connection of Des Plaines, IL is seeking skilled handymen and handywomen to join our team. You’ll tackle maintenance and remodeling tasks across North/Northwest Chicagoland, evaluating requests, pricing jobs, and communicating clearly with clients.

Earn $30–$45 per hour based on experience, with flexible scheduling and support from a professional office team that handles dispatch and scheduling. You’ll need your own tools, a reliable vehicle, and a smartphone for in-field app use.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in carpentry, drywall, painting, minor plumbing, electrical work, or general home repairs.
• Dependability and clear communication are essential for client satisfaction.
• Own a reliable vehicle suitable for trade work.
• Have your own set of tools to complete jobs.
• Smartphone with reliable internet and use of our in-field app daily.
• Holding a valid driver’s license is required.
• Flexible availability to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance or remodeling projects for residents and businesses in North/Northwest Chicagoland.
• Evaluate requests, price out all jobs, troubleshoot and communicate with clients.
• Finalize appropriate job materials and quantities for projects.

What You Get

What We’re Looking For in a Skilled Handyman:

• Multi-trade experience – Proficiency in carpentry, drywall, painting, minor plumbing, electrical work, or general home repairs.
• Dependability & Communication – We take pride in our work and expect our craftsmen to do the same.
• Your Own Work Vehicle – A reliable truck or van that fits your trade(s).
• Your Own Tools – As a professional, you’ll need your own set of tools to get the job done right.
• Smartphone – Must have a smartphone with reliable internet access and be comfortable using our in-field mobile app daily.
• Valid Driver’s License– We take pride in offering our customers trustworthiness and confidence in our brand.
• Availability – Typical work hours are 8 AM – 5 PM, but we offer flexible scheduling based on your needs and those of our customers.

What You'll Do:

• Complete maintenance or remodeling project by providing construction skills for residents and businesses in North/Northwest Chicagoland.
• Evaluate requests, price out all jobs, troubleshoot and effectively communicate with clients
• Finalize appropriate job materials and quantities for all projects
