Job summary

CHALAN REALTY CORP is seeking a skilled Handyman to join our maintenance team. You will perform residential and light commercial maintenance, including pipe fitting, insulating, welding, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment, and installing new equipment.

We value hard work, teamwork, and quality workmanship. Prior experience as a professional maintenance worker is highly preferred, and a positive attitude is a must.

Qualifications

• Experience as handyman or general maintenance worker.
• Knowledge of job site safety rules and OSHA regulations.
• Knowledge of carpentry methods, tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs consistently.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
• Dismantle machines and access parts using hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance actions.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective actions with manuals/blueprints.
• Perform repairs using hammers, hoists, drills, wrenches, and testing devices.
• Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Handyman to join our team! In this role, you will perform residential and light commercial maintenance work that may include pipe fitting, insulating, welding, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment, repairing buildings, floors, or stairs, and installing new equipment.

You are hard-working, a team player, and dedicated to performing quality work in all that you do. Significant past experience as a professional maintenance worker is highly preferred and a positive attitude is a must!

Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions
• Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools
• Perform routine maintenance and doing other preventive maintenance actions
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary
• Perform repairs using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices
• Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner
