Job summary

OWL Services is seeking a Compliance Field Technician in Grand Rapids, MI to perform hands-on environmental testing and regulatory compliance work for gasoline service stations. You will travel daily to customer sites and operate/testing equipment while documenting results using tablets and mobile devices.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with hand tools.
• Experience in construction, automotive, maintenance, industrial, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fuel systems, military or other skilled trades is highly preferred.
• Comfortable performing physically demanding, hands-on work outdoors around underground storage tank systems and fuel equipment.
• Basic technology skills to use a tablet, smartphone and computer for documentation and reporting.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Preparing sites for testing and inspection activities.
• Setting up testing equipment and safety equipment.
• Removing manhole lids to access underground storage tanks.
• Performing precision testing, inspections, calibrations, and certifications.
• Operating, troubleshooting, and calibrating specialized testing equipment.
• Completing required documentation using tablets and other mobile technology.
• Driving a DOT-registered commercial motor vehicle to customer locations.
• Working safely while following all company and regulatory procedures.
