Job summary

WSP USA invites you to join our Earth & Environment team as an Environmental Engineering Intern for Summer 2027, working from our Oakland or Rancho Cordova offices. This full-time internship is designed for students currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program and offers hands-on exposure to real projects alongside senior staff during a 12-week program starting May 17, 2027.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Environmental Engineering or related undergraduate/graduate program with an anticipated graduation date Aug 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong interest in Environmental Engineering and projects at WSP.
• Ability to write clearly and communicate with engineers and non-engineers.

Responsibilities

• Support Environmental Engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Assist with project research, field work, and writing technical reports for compliance projects.
• Help collect and maintain project documentation including notes and SOPs.
• Complete training on assigned tasks and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct.
• Work with mentors and staff on various projects during the 12-week program.
