Job summary

Rockwoods Inc. is seeking a senior-level Data Architect with deep hands-on experience designing and building modern cloud data platforms in real production environments.

This role is not a strategy-only position and requires ownership of architecture decisions end-to-end while remaining hands-on when needed to solve performance problems and scale data pipelines. You will work directly with engineering teams to drive delivery, enabling AI-ready data foundations, and building scalable ingestion,

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of Data Engineering / Data Architecture experience.
• Hands-on experience building scalable cloud data platforms.
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, Snowflake and dbt.
• Ability to own architecture decisions end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture across modern cloud data platforms.
• Design scalable ingestion, transformation, and data modeling frameworks.
• Lead Snowflake architecture including performance tuning and cost management.
• Build API and event-driven ingestion for real-time and batch processing.
• Establish governance, security, and data quality frameworks.
• Support AI/ML and analytics initiatives through data architecture.
