The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking a Prototype Fabrication & Lab Manager in the Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering department to design, build, and refine custom experimental apparatus for cutting-edge research.

You will maintain lab equipment, ensure safety compliance with EH&S and OSHA, and collaborate with faculty, students, and staff to meet teaching and research needs.

Qualificações

• Associate’s degree in engineering technology or related field plus 1 year of technical experience using common machine shop and fabrication tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent plus 3 years of technical experience using common machine shop and fabrication tools.
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance and the design and fabrication of devices or equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate to conceptualize, design, fabricate, and refine custom experimental apparatus for research projects.
• Assist with design, fabrication, maintenance, and repair of laboratory equipment and devices.
• Ensure teaching and research labs meet the needs of faculty, staff, and students.
• Coordinate with Environmental Health and Safety and OSHA to ensure safety compliance.
