Job summary

Perdue Foods is seeking a Machine Operator in Georgetown, DE to oversee production equipment and electrical systems on the plant floor. You will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure safe, efficient operations and contribute to product quality and reliability.

The role requires 2–4 years of related experience, reading/writing and analytical skills, and personal hand tools. Schedule is Monday–Friday with additional weekend needs as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience in a similar role.
• Reading, writing and analytical skills are required.
• Must own personal tools and be able to use hand tools and industrial shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret and understand manufacturers' equipment manuals, PM task sheets and safety policies.
• Perform equipment adjustments, repairs, preventative maintenance and emergency breakdowns.
• Operate under OSHA Lockout/Tagout and Company safety regulations.
• Monitor equipment performance and report potential problems to maintenance and production teams.
• Maintain equipment logs and calibrate machinery to performance standards.
• Provide hands-on training and direction to junior mechanics and technicians.
• Keep equipment clean during and after shifts.
