Job summary

Avient Corporation is seeking a hands-on production team member for a manufacturing plant in the United States. The role coordinates area activities, leads by example, troubleshoots with operators, and covers for the supervisor in their absence.

You will work closely with the supervisor to prioritize team efforts, monitor schedules, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards while maintaining documentation and product specs.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience preferred.
• Experience managing direct reports.
• Proven extruder or machine operating experience.
• Mixing and weigh-up experience.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs continuously for entire shift.
• US High School diploma, GED equivalency or relevant experience.
• Adherence to health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize team efforts with Shift/Production Supervisor to meet quality and shipment targets and ensure data integrity.
• Monitor production schedule and prioritize workload.
• Ensure procedures for operating machinery to mix/blend dry chemicals or extrude color are followed.
• Provide leadership in SAP procedures and processes.
• Document processing parameters and product characteristics for productivity and quality.
