Job summary

Fletcher Technical Community College is seeking a Part-Time Pipefitting Adjunct Instructor to teach in Thibodaux and Schriever, LA. You will deliver engaging instruction, teach safe pipefitting procedures, and assess student work while maintaining documentation.

You must have a high school diploma or GED, 36+ months of pipefitting experience, and NCCER Core or OSHA certification, with potential to obtain credentials within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging instruction for assigned classes and modules, starting and ending on time.
• Teach safe and proper use of pipefitting equipment, supplies, tools, and procedures.
• Inspect student work and evaluate the quality and accuracy of fitting projects.
• Maintain documentation on inspections, attendance, student progress, and evaluations.
• Develop and distribute course syllabi aligned with master syllabi and college requirements.
• Provide timely feedback, mentoring and guidance to support student success and retention.
• Refer students at risk of failure to advising resources.
• Support students pursuing employment or further education with information and recommendations.
• Ensure classroom equipment and instructional technology are safe and operational.
• Respond to student questions within 24 hours on workdays and 48 hours on weekends.
• Meet all college deadlines, credential standards, and accreditation requirements.
• Participate in professional development and contribute to a respectful, student-centered culture.
• Follow policies, including ADA and harassment policies, and represent the College professionally.
