Job summary

AZ General Hospital Mesa is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide direct patient care under supervision, assisting with personal care, mobility, feeding, and monitoring vital signs. You will document observations and help prepare patients for procedures, collaborating closely with the nursing team to ensure a safe and comfortable patient experience.

The role requires completion of a nursing assistant or EMT program, or the first block of nursing, plus BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of nursing assistant program, or EMT program, or completion of first block of nursing program.
• Emergency Medical Technician: AZ, or
• Certified Nursing Assistant: AZ
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)

Responsibilities

• Assists the nurse/physician during examinations, treatments and procedures as requested.
• Retrieves necessary equipment and supplies.
• Assists in patient/equipment preparation.
• Performs follow-up actions as directed.
• Documents clinically relevant findings in the patient's record according to hospital protocols.
• Prepares patients for transportation to other departments/areas
