Job summary

The Simplot Company is seeking an Operations Support for its SGS Warehouse in Blackfoot, Idaho. Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, fertilizer blending, and loading/unloading operations in a safety-compliant environment.

You will also assist with inventory records and ensure proper vehicle loading. Candidates should have basic math skills, proficiency with MS Office, and strong communication abilities.

Qualifications

• 1+ years related experience and/or training is required.
• Pump or electric motor maintenance experience is preferred.
• Welding experience or certifications are a plus.
• Knowledge of fertilizer barns or grain elevator operation machinery is a plus.
• Ability to effectively and safely operate heavy equipment such as a loader, forklift and semi-truck.
• Ability to do a variety of tasks in succession, e.g., receiving orders, blending products, loading trucks, verifying weights.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to use a computer, including Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook or mobile app.
• Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with management, team members, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Performs equipment and plant maintenance including pump and electric motor maintenance, welding, painting, and general housekeeping.
• Operates equipment to blend fertilizer and monitor production while maintaining a clean workspace.
• May assist with inventory recordkeeping and loading/unloading duties.
• Ensure proper loading and safe operations of vehicles per DOT, OSHA and Hazmat regulations.
• Other duties including special projects and training sessions.

Education

1+ years related experience and/or training

Pump or electric motor maintenance

Welding experience or certifications

Knowledge of fertilizer barns or grain elevator operation machinery

Operate heavy equipment (loader, forklift, semi-truck)

Ability to perform tasks in succession

Basic math

Computer literacy (MS Office / Outlook)
