Job summary

RS Medical in Vancouver, WA is seeking an Engineering Intern to support the development and manufacturing of NMES devices. You will perform diagnostics, product investigations, equipment testing, and technical analysis alongside experienced engineers and operations teams, contributing to product quality and customer satisfaction.

Candidates pursuing or having completed a degree in Biomedical or Electrical Engineering are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or current enrollment in an accredited program in these disciplines.
  • Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear communication and collaboration with teammates and vendors.
  • Ability to learn and use manufacturing software and hardware tools.

Responsibilities

  • Complete component-level updates, repairs, and enhancements on medical devices.
  • Conduct engineering experiments and investigations related to manufacturing equipment, processes, and product performance.
  • Investigate customer-reported issues, including non-conforming products, product complaints, and device failures; document analyses and findings.
  • Perform occasional circuit board and component repairs, including soldering and de-soldering.
  • Install and operate computer-based diagnostic tools; analyze performance data and summarize results.
  • Complete engineering investigation documentation, NCR reports, and other required quality paperwork.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and use equipment properly.
  • Perform other engineering or technical tasks as assigned.
