Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed an accredited Medical Assistant or related healthcare training program.
• No prior professional experience required; seeking hands-on clinical and administrative exposure.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and clinical concepts from coursework or training.
• Ability to follow instructions carefully and work under close supervision.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English with patients, families, and staff.
• Reliability, professionalism, and a strong desire to learn and develop new skills.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy compliance.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn clinic software or EHR systems.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist with tasks for extended periods.
• Availability to work hourly, per diem with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Work under supervision to support daily clinic operations.
• Greet patients, verify information, and assist check-in/out.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for visits.
• Observe and assist with taking and recording vital signs under supervision.
• Maintain clean, safe, stocked exam rooms and clinical areas.
• Prepare and organize medical instruments and supplies.
• Practice infection control and hygiene procedures.
• Document basic information in medical records as directed.
• Provide courteous, confidential patient service.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff for efficient flow.
• Participate in training and feedback to build skills.
• Adhere to HIPAA, privacy regulations, and safety standards.
