Job summary

Aegis Worldwide is seeking a Mechanical Process Engineer to support its expanding metal powder production operations, focusing on atomization and on‑the‑floor troubleshooting. This role blends hands-on problem solving with process improvement and capital project execution, spanning equipment upgrades and documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related engineering discipline with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial engineering with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment involving hands-on equipment support and process improvement.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to apply engineering principles on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify waste, reduce cycle times, and improve OEE.
• Provide hands‑on technical support to production and maintenance, investigating equipment problems and implementing corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems with technicians and other engineering resources.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement equipment upgrades to improve performance and reliability.
• Manage small to medium capital improvement projects including scope, budgets, coordination, safety, and startup.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing routings, SOPs, work instructions, PM documentation, spare parts info, and P&IDs.
