The role emphasizes hands-on design, prototyping, testing, and collaboration to solve complex mechanical challenges and ensure product quality, reliability, and manufacturability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanical design principles, materials selection, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for robotic and automated equipment.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Perform engineering analyses, tolerance stack-ups, and design calculations to validate mechanical performance.
• Build prototypes, conduct testing, and troubleshoot mechanical designs to improve functionality, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to integrate mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Support product verification and validation activities, including test planning, execution, and documentation.
• Partner with manufacturing teams to transition designs into production and resolve manufacturing-related challenges.
• Participate in design reviews and implement product improvements based on testing results, technical feedback, and performance requirements.
• Ensure designs meet applicable quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation, including BOMs, drawings, specifications, and ECNs.
• Apply DFM and DFA principles throughout the product development process.
