Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on mechanical design and fabrication experience.
• Experience with CAD and fabrication processes including 3D printing.
• Strong ability to explain assembly steps and tolerances clearly.
• Experience with calipers and precision measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and modify mechanical parts and assemblies using CAD software.
• Fabricate components via 3D printing and light shop work.
• Assemble mechanisms and subsystems with fasteners, belts and gear trains.
• Verify fit and tolerances using calipers and precision measurement tools.
• Document build procedures with clear notes and photos for the team.
• Explain fabrication steps and identify design issues in build instructions.
