Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing / Quality Systems Engineer to support engineering change management, quality systems, equipment and process validation, technical documentation, and day-to-day manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will manage QMS documentation and engineering change orders, lead installation qualifications, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain quality and operational excellence on a 12+ month contract at competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science.
• 3–5 years in manufacturing, quality systems, validation, or process engineering.
• Hands-on with QMS documentation and engineering change orders.
• Experience writing technical docs, SOPs, and installation qualification protocols.
• Experience with equipment qualification, process validation, or non-product software validation.
• Strong writing, troubleshooting and communication skills; able to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, engineering change orders, and controlled document updates.
• Create, review, and maintain technical documents, SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Lead installation qualification activities and develop or execute installation qualification protocols.
• Own equipment qualification, process qualification, non-product software validation, and temperature mapping documentation and activities.
• Manage change control activities and update work instructions in Windchill or similar document management and PLM systems.
• Support manufacturing and operations teams with material setup, packaging setup, repack activities, and master data maintenance.
• Provide hands-on floor support, troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and operational issues, and coordinate resolutions with maintenance and vendors.
• Support maintenance, calibration, and preventive maintenance activities for operational equipment.
• Prepare monthly business review reports, track operational metrics, and communicate project status and findings.
• Coordinate internal and external projects, working closely with engineering, quality, manufacturing, operations, and vendor teams.
• Provide technical guidance, mentor peers, and support the training and development of team members.
• Ensure engineering and quality activities comply with established procedures, documentation standards, and applicable quality requirements.
