Job summary

Ledgent partner company near Downtown Los Angeles seeks a part-time Controller to manage accounting and finance functions, supervise a small team, and work closely with the President and Consultant/CFO.

Responsibilities include policy development, process automation, budgeting, GL closings, cash flow, and coordination of A/P/A/R and payroll. Manufacturing/food processing experience is required; leadership and hands-on capability are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• MBA or CPA ideal, but not required.
• Must have manufacturing or food processing industry experience (costing, inventory, reporting).
• Proven leadership ability and management experience.
• Experience enhancing accounting policies and implementing process automation.
• Strong ERP systems and MS Office skills.
• Must be hands-on and willing to work closely with staff.
• Solid career track.
• Ability to work with various personnel in a family atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and finance functions for the business.
• Drive policy development and process automation.
• Manage fiscal budgeting and general ledger closings.
• Prepare financial statements, journal entries, and activity analysis.
• Coordinate A/P, A/R, and payroll activities.
• Collaborate with external audit teams and business partners.
