Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in a food production facility, preferably USDA facilities.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills for task tracking and record maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and basic electrical systems.
  • Ability to read schematics and communicate effectively with vendors.
  • Physical capability to lift 75 lbs.
  • Understanding of safe electrical work practices, including lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Basic plumbing repair knowledge, such as snaking drains.

  • Organize and track maintenance activities while coordinating with outside vendors.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and general repairs across the facility.
  • Manage a list of current and future projects, including timelines.

  • Meet regularly with ownership and operations to discuss ongoing needs.
  • Maintain an inventory and tracking system for tools and supplies.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of mechanical and electrical systems.

Position Title: Hands-on Maintenance Supervisor

This position requires a dedicated individual to oversee and execute all maintenance and facility-related tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of the facility. The role demands a proactive approach to maintaining production equipment, warehouse infrastructure, and office spaces. A hands-on attitude is essential, as the supervisor will be responsible for identifying and resolving issues before they disrupt operations. Strong communication and organizational skills are critical for success in this role, as is the ability to work independently and take ownership of the facility's maintenance needs. Salary Range: $71,000 - $83,000 / Year DOE
