Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a General Laborer to support maintenance and production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will perform general labor, assist with repairs and installations, and help maintain clean, safe work areas under maintenance staff guidance.

Responsibilities include using hand and power tools, following safety protocols, and aiding with material handling across welding, machining, assembly, packing, and shipping areas. This is an onsite Lenexa, KS role.

Qualifications

• Experience in general labor or maintenance in manufacturing or related settings.
• Ability to read measurements and diagrams.
• Proficiency with hand tools (hammer, wrench, screwdriver).
• Ability to operate power tools safely.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for repairs.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, including lockout/tagout where required.
• Physically capable of lifting and standing for long shifts.
• Attention to detail in measuring and organizing tools.
• Reliable and flexible to work within facility hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance, repairs, and equipment installations.
• Maintain and organize maintenance and production areas.
• Identify and report malfunctions or hazards.
• Keep tools and supplies orderly and accessible.
• Move materials and equipment throughout the facility.
• Perform basic repairs under supervision by maintenance staff.
• Follow safety procedures, including lockout/tagout.
• Support small building repairs as needed.
• Use hand and power tools safely.
• Assist production with general labor in welding, machining, assembly, packing, and shipping as directed.
