Job summary

The Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering Department at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, invites applications for a full-time lecturer for a two-year appointment starting AY 27/28. The successful candidate will deliver instruction in core and elective industrial engineering courses within a laboratory-intensive curriculum. Initial rank and salary depend on experience.

A Master’s degree is required; a Ph.D. is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in industrial engineering, operations research, or a related field is required.
• Ph.D. in industrial engineering, operations research, or related major is preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality instruction in core and elective industrial engineering courses within a laboratory‑intensive, hands‑on curriculum.
• Contribute to curriculum development and department teaching objectives for AY 27/28 and AY 28/29.
• Possibility of a one‑year extension to AY 29/30 contingent on budget and evaluations.
