Job summary

Depatie Fluid Power Co. is seeking a motivated Assembler to join our manufacturing team in Fort Wayne, Indiana. You will assemble hydraulic and fluid power products, following blueprints, specs, and parts lists, while learning our processes and contributing to quality.

You’ll gather parts, use hand tools, test assemblies, and maintain a clean, safe work area. A proactive attitude and teamwork will help you grow in this hands-on role.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or assembly is helpful but not required.
• Willingness and ability to learn new products, processes, tools, and technology.
• Strong initiative and a dependable work ethic.
• Basic problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment.
• Ability to regularly lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow assembly instructions, blueprints, specifications, and parts lists to complete basic work orders.
• Gather and organize the necessary parts, components, subassemblies, tools, and materials for production.
• Position and assemble parts and components using measurements, templates, drawings, and work instructions.
• Use hand tools, equipment, and other production tools to assemble components and complete work orders.
• Examine connections and components to ensure proper fit, alignment, and assembly.
• Measure and test completed components to verify they meet required specifications.
• Perform quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure product integrity and accuracy.
• Complete production, quality, and other required documentation accurately.
• Maintain an organized, clean, accessible, and safe work area.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production and quality goals.
• Adapt to new tools, equipment, technology, and product requirements.
• Take initiative to learn new skills and continuously improve your knowledge and performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
