PAH Management is seeking an Engineer for its Baton Rouge property to oversee day-to-day operations of the Engineering Department, covering electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems. The role emphasizes hands-on technical work, safety, and guest service while enabling independence in decision-making.

The ideal candidate will bring a broad trades background, comfort with on-site problem solving, and a commitment to safe, compliant hotel operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• General knowledge of technical fields such as carpentry, painting, and electrical work.
• Ability to work well in a team atmosphere and make independent decisions.
• Trade certifications or specialized training in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or HVAC systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver guest service and uphold property standards.
• Assist in maintenance of property, equipment, grounds, and assets; conduct site inspections.
• Perform preventive maintenance and schedule tasks; respond to non-functioning equipment calls.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and safety standards.
• Assist with vendor contracts, special projects, and renovations; support Director of Engineering.
