Job summary

Kodama Systems is seeking a Hardware Engineering Technician in the San Francisco Bay Area. This full-time, on-site role involves building and debugging custom electromechanical systems for heavy forestry equipment. Your work will take place in both the lab and the field, with a travel expectation of up to 50% to OEM factories and dealer lots.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in electromechanical hardware, is comfortable with tools, and values a hands-on approach in a dynamic engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and debugging electromechanical hardware.
• Comfort with bench debug tools like multimeter and oscilloscope.
• Mechanical fabrication fundamentals and basic shop work.
• Willingness to travel to factories and dealer lots.

Responsibilities

• Build custom hardware using a variety of skills.
• Install and integrate hardware onto new machines.
• Run the prototyping lab, keeping it organized and well-maintained.
• Execute engineering tests and troubleshoot hardware.
