Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Vocational, technical school or hands‑on mechanical training is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn are required.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools preferred.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems is preferred.
• Exposure to electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems is a plus.
• Experience with construction equipment, generators, trucks, or other heavy equipment is a plus but not required.
• Welding experience is a plus but not required.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required.
• CDL Medical eligibility required.
• CDL Class A is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced technicians with inspection, maintenance, and repair of vehicles and construction equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance such as oil changes, lubrication, tire changes, battery and filter replacements.
• Assist with basic hose repairs, component replacement, and routine mechanical repairs.
• Learn to diagnose basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems and report findings.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Assist with inspection and maintenance of aerial lifts, digger derricks, generators, and other equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
• Keep supervisor informed of work progress and any issues identified.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• May assist with local field service or emergency repairs under supervision.
