Ayres is seeking a survey intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in land surveying. You’ll support field crews with surveying tasks, data collection, and equipment care in a collaborative, safety-conscious environment.

The internship emphasizes practical skill-building with GPS, robotic total stations, UAS, and scanner workflows, plus opportunities to learn drafting and data processing. Potential overtime and travel may occur.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a two-year associate degree in Land Surveying or related field.
• Alternatively, enrolled in a four-year Land Surveying program.
• Must follow OSHA safety practices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and walk on uneven terrain.
• Reliable transportation to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Survey Crew Chief and Professional Land Surveyor in field tasks.
• Care for and maintain survey equipment.
• Work on one- or two-person crews using GPS, robotic total stations, UAS, and terrestrial scanners.
• Process field data and assist with drafting.
• Overtime and out-of-town travel may be required.
