Job summary

TACO Metals in Sparta, TN is seeking a hands-on Extrusion Engineer & Production Manager to lead a plastics extrusion floor, resolve on‑the‑line issues, and grow into a broader leadership role. You'll work closely with current Plastics Extrusion Engineer and Production Manager while strengthening technical, operational, and people leadership.

Responsibilities include process improvement, tooling and dies optimization, production launches, scrap reduction, scheduling, and cross‑functional problem

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent hands-on extrusion experience.
3–7 years in plastic extrusion or polymer processing.
Strong on-floor production experience with problem solving.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, develop, and optimize plastic extrusion processes to improve quality and throughput.
Evaluate tooling, dies, downstream equipment, line setup, and process parameters.
Lead new product development, prototype trials, and production launches.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality and reliability.
Support daily production operations across shifts to meet targets.
