Job summary

GeoEngineers, Inc. in Boston, MA is seeking an Environmental Engineering Intern for Spring 2027. The program offers hands-on exposure to environmental site assessment, remediation projects, and mentorship from engineers and scientists.

You will gain field and office experience, assist with data collection, and support with proposals and reports while learning MCP and MassDEP processes in a team-focused internship environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Monitors field explorations and construction projects under guidance of engineers and scientists.
• Documents field conditions and completes field reports.
• Performs environmental field sampling including soil, groundwater, surface water, sub-slab vapor, and indoor air sampling.
• Learns the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP) regulatory framework and MassDEP submittals.
• Assists with office and project deliverables including data tabulation, proposals, and reports.
• Helps organize and maintain field equipment when needed.
• Maintains field readiness and adheres to safety programs.
• Assists with organizing and maintaining lab and field equipment as needed.
