Job summary

Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort is seeking an Assistant Director of Engineering to oversee hotel facilities, monitor parts and labor costs, and assist in budgeting and forecasting. This hands-on leader will train staff in control procedures and deliver exceptional guest service while managing engineering teams.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in hotel HVAC systems, 2–4 years in management, and certifications in HVAC and CPR.

Qualifications

• Read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
• 3–5 years hotel, institutional HVAC systems experience.
• Refrigeration and HVAC certification.
• 2–4 years of management or supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, life safety systems and preventive maintenance.
• Budget management experience with cost control; stationary engineering license preferred.
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to communicate effectively with public and other employees.
• No employee will pose a direct threat to health/safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist in oversight of the hotel facility and monitor parts and labor expenditures.
• Help manage the department within budget and forecast expenses.
• Assist in preparing the annual department budget.
• Ensure staff trained in control procedures per Internal Audit.
• Provide hands-on leadership and develop employees for guest-focused service.
• Support selection and training to deliver committed customer service.
