Job summary

Rowan University is seeking adjunct faculty in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering to teach in all areas of ECE and EET. The role focuses on hands-on, project-based learning, with design and oversight of labs and projects across multiple programs.

Requirements include an MS in relevant fields or 10+ years of industry experience in lieu of a master’s, plus strong communication and collaboration skills for multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Earned at least a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Industry and/or academic experience encouraged; 10+ years of industry experience with a bachelor’s degree may be considered in lieu of a master’s.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Capacity to teach in a project‑based environment and develop hands‑on lab projects.

Responsibilities

• Successful candidates will be responsible for teaching innovative, project‑based courses in the electrical and computer engineering and electrical engineering technology programs.
• Courses may be core or elective.
• The instructor will design and oversee lab and project components, integrating emerging technologies and modern tools.
