City Construction is offering a Construction Project Engineer Intern position in Iowa City. You will gain hands-on experience through the Project Engineer Internship Program, working with project managers, superintendents, and site teams to learn how decisions affect outcomes.

As an intern, you will participate in site visits, safety checks, documentation tracking, and vendor coordination. You will collaborate across departments and engage in company initiatives while developing professional

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or related program.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willing to learn, ask questions, and contribute meaningfully.
• Ability to work independently while still contributing and collaborating in a team.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work on-site.
• Valid Driver’s License and Satisfactory Driving Record.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Commitment from May – August (Summer 2027).

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers, pre-construction managers, superintendents, project coordinators, warehouse managers while learning how real‑world decisions share the outcomes
• Participate in site visits and safety checks under supervision.
• Assist with documentation tracking and vendor coordination.
• Collaborate on a cross‑functional project with interns and leaders across departments.
• Participate in company initiatives, committees, and continuing education
