Job summary

McPherson Concrete Companies in McPherson, Kansas, offers a Summer Internship for a Construction Management Intern. You will support project managers and site supervisors across active construction projects, gaining exposure to coordination, field operations, safety, and quality control. This 10-12 week program runs May 26, 2027 through August 6, 2027.

U.S. work authorization is required; onsite travel to project sites is expected, with a full-time schedule of 40+ hours per week.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Construction Management or a related field.
• Strong interest in construction and eagerness to learn.
• Basic understanding of construction processes, tools, and equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily project management activities, including scheduling, procurement, and coordination
• Support site supervisors and project managers in tracking project progress
• Participate in site inspections and quality control activities
• Assist with preparation of project documentation, reports, and presentations
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure safety protocols and procedures are followed
• Build working relationships with internal teams, trade partners, vendors, and clients
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
