Job summary

Texas State University’s Department of Engineering Technology invites applications for an Open Rank Non-tenure line (NTL) in the CIM program. The role may be Faculty of Practice or Faculty of Instruction, focusing on teaching and engagement with the concrete industry at the undergraduate level.

The successful candidate will teach CIM courses, mentor student organizations, travel with students to industry conferences, and cultivate industry partnerships.

Qualifications

• Teach undergraduate CIM-related courses and engage students in practical learning.
• Mentor student organizations and competition teams to enhance hands‑on experience.
• Travel with students to industry conferences locally, nationally, and internationally.
• Develop and maintain relationships with concrete industry companies.
• Participate in service activities for the department and university.
• Workload includes teaching at least 12 credits per semester per area of expertise.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate CIM courses and oversee student learning outcomes.
• Advise and mentor students; support student competition teams.
