Job summary

Ohio School of Phlebotomy is seeking a Clinical Medical Assisting Instructor to join our onsite program. The role involves lecturing, administering assessments, and guiding hands-on labs to empower students pursuing healthcare careers.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of medical assisting experience, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and are authorized to work in the United States. Prior teaching experience is not required, and compensation is $20-$24 per hour, DOE.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of relevant field experience as a Medical Assistant or similar (PCA/EMT/PA/LPN).
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous teaching experience is not required.

Responsibilities

Prepare and lecture on specified content utilizing the school’s textbook.
Administer academic and skills assessments according to the syllabus.
Lead hands-on skills labs, including skill demonstrations and student feedback.
Maintain accurate student records and paperwork including attendance, notes on student progress and conduct in class, and recording and reporting of grades.
Complete tasks required at the beginning of a class session including handling student payments and accepting documentation.
Follow school and state policies in curriculum delivery and reporting.
