Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East seeks a hands-on Assembly and Product Modification Technician in Carmel, IN. The role involves assembling hardware, performing custom modifications, and creating fixtures for repeatable machining and assembly tasks.

You will read and apply blueprints, work with shop tools, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to solve technical challenges while ensuring quality and accuracy in a fast-paced job shop environment.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability with cutting, drilling, tapping, and light milling.
• Experience with hands-on assembly and following written work instructions or blueprints.
• Ability to read drawings and blueprints and interpret specs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble hardware products and subassemblies using instructions, drawings, and blueprints.
• Perform custom modifications to ensure hardware integrates with other products, including basic machining.
• Create simple fixtures or jigs to hold or index parts for repeatable steps.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to interpret sketches and resolve technical challenges.
• Conduct final quality inspections to ensure accuracy and fit.
• Safely handle materials and keep an organized workstation; support production flow.
• Demonstrate initiative to connect the dots and handle new tasks with minimal supervision.
