Job summary

FedEx in Kentucky is seeking a warehouse associate to move packages, documents and supplies quickly, safely, and efficiently using scan/load methods. This is a non-driving role based on public roadways.

The job requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and possible climb of stairs or ladders. Evening shift Sundays to Thursdays from 7 PM to 1 AM; drug test and criminal check may be required.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 50 lbs from ground to chest level and maneuver heavier packages with equipment or assistance.
• Able to walk and stand for designated work hours.
• Able to bend and squat for designated work hours; climb stairs and ladders if required.
• Able to communicate effectively in a noisy operations environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance from the ground to chest level and ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Able to walk and stand for designated work hours. Able to bend and squat for designated work hours. Able to maneuver packages above shoulder level. Ability to maneuver packages in enclosed spaces and stack packages above one’s head if required at location. Able to work in all weather conditions if required at work location. Able to climb stairs and ladders if required at work location. Able to successfully complete all basic and re‑currency training. The ability to communicate both timely and effectively, in a noisy operations environment, is required.

Job Conditions

Non-covered safety sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Pay Range: $18.00/hr + $1.00/hr Pay Premium

Additional Posting Information

Evening Shift: Sunday to Thursday (7 PM to 1 AM). Must pass a drug test and criminal check.
