Job summary

Federal Express Corporation in Spokane, WA seeks a Part-Time loader/unloader to move packages safely and efficiently. You will operate ramp equipment to load/unload shipments and perform shuttle duties with a non-articulated vehicle. Other tasks may be assigned to support operations.

The role requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions, with training provided. Pay transparency notes a range of $17.89 to $24.73 per hour, with eligible benefits.

Job description

Provides movement of packages in a safe and efficient manner; to operate mechanized ramp equipment to load and unload packages; to perform shuttle functions using a non-articulated vehicle. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance from the ground to chest level and to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Able to walk and stand for designated work hours. Able to bend and squat for designated work hours. Able to maneuver packages above shoulder level. Ability to maneuver packages in enclosed spaces and stack packages above one’s head if required at location. Able to work in all weather conditions if required at work location. Able to climb stairs and ladders if required at work location. Ability to work with power and hand tools. Able to successfully complete all basic and re-currency training. The ability to communicate both timely and effectively, in a noisy operations environment, is required. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Non-covered safety sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Medical exam required in accordance with FHWA or FAA regulations. Must meet qualifications as outlined in Section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Additional Details: Part-Time–Re-post it with a waiver- Tuesday-Saturday 04:00-08:30. Hours subject to change to meet business demands.
