Job summary

Gap is seeking a design-focused professional to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment on sustainable product lines. You will assist in designing the product, prepare sketches, and help with basic specifications while leaning into risk-taking and customer curiosity.

You will collaborate across Merchandising, Production, and Technical Design to ensure concept-to-store execution aligns with brand standards and margins.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with seasonal development deadlines.
• Elevated sense of style, color, and ability to translate trends for customers and brand.
• Thorough knowledge of silhouette, fit, fabrication, construction, and trim.
• Strong computer skills in Adobe Illustrator and Excel.
• Attention to data inconsistencies and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Research global markets to identify new seasonal trends, silhouettes, fabrics, techniques, product categories and inspiration.
• Develop concepts and sketches for product line and advocate for design ideas to leadership and partners.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Production, Technical design, GIS, Visual Merchandising and Marketing for seamless execution.
• Create tech packs and communicate vision behind fit and product design to ensure quality and margins.
• Ask questions, solicit feedback, and revise sketches and packages per priorities.
• Manage admin tasks like creating presentation boards to keep the team organized and deadlines met.
