Benchmark Electronics Inc in Rochester, MN, is seeking a hands-on hand soldering operator to assemble electronic boards using hand soldering and solder machines per documented procedures and schematics.

You will follow production guidelines, verify paperwork and parts, maintain quality and safety, work overtime as needed, and collaborate with teammates in a safety-sensitive environment with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand schematics and process drawings.
• Accuracy and attention to detail in soldering and inspection.
• Ability to work overtime and rotate between rework and line positions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; adhere to safety and ESD practices.

Responsibilities

• Prints Dispatch List and prioritizes production based on guidelines.
• Verifies paperwork and drawings for each job assignment.
• Verifies parts and materials from kits for current job assignment.
• Hand solder components on boards per instructions and inspect solder connections.
• Perform solder potting and dispose of contaminated materials per procedure.
• Route completed boards to the next facility as per manufacturing order.
• Perform wire add operations when required.
• Scan boards into the PFS system and record operations.
• Maintain clean work area and follow all safety/ESD practices.
• Carry out data entry for labor and WIP tracking.
• Report daily throughput to Team Leader.
• Contribute to quality to ensure customer satisfaction.
