Job summary

White Plains Hospital Medical Center in West Harrison, NY is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide functional evaluations and develop treatment plans to maximize patients’ daily life functioning. You will evaluate, plan, implement, and adjust interventions, collaborate with physicians and therapy staff, and participate in discharge planning and education for patients and families.

NYS OT license or eligibility and BLS within 6 months required; strong communication and multitasking skills

Qualifications

• BS B.S. Occupational Therapy or higher required.
• Ability to interact with others in a constructive manner.
• Ability to interact with and treat adults and seniors.
• NYS OT license or eligibility for license required.
• BLS Basic Life Support required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional evaluation of the patient and develop plan of treatment to maximize daily living activities.
• Perform patient evaluation and treatment upon physician’s referral.
• Develop and modify treatment plans and discharge planning as needed.
• Maintain patient records and coordinate with other health professionals.
