Regis Corporation is hiring Stylists and Stylists-in-Training in onsite salon locations. You will consult with clients, apply service techniques, and educate on home hair care while maintaining excellent customer service. Opportunities include commissions, tips, and potential quarterly increases based on productivity. Training via the Hair Stylist Academy is required.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a valid cosmetology or barber license (or be within 90 days of graduating).
• All Stylists/Stylists-in-Training participate in the Hair Stylist Academy (HSA) program and receive a certificate.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients and apply appropriate service techniques.
• Educate clients on home hair care and recommend services/products.
• Provide quality consultations and state final price before service begins.
• Complete required administrative tasks (POS, scheduling) promptly.
• Communicate positively with clients, team members and leadership.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards set by Regis.
• Maintain flexibility for night and weekend shifts.
• Attend required technical training sessions.

Job Duties

• Some of the below Job Duties may not be applicable to the Stylist-in-Training position.
• Provide quality services by consulting with clients and applying the appropriate service techniques.
• Recommend and participate in all approved local marketing initiatives including depth and frequency of coupon campaigns, seasonal initiatives, and client appreciation events.
• Educate clients about proper home hair care and recommend services and products to help the client maintain their hairstyle between salon visits.
• Employ best practices for customer service, ensuring each client’s satisfaction and building client loyalty.
• Provide quality consultations with each client, including stating the final price before the service begins.
• Complete all required administrative tasks (i.e., closing out a ticket on the POS system and scheduling appointments) promptly.
• Communicate effectively and positively with all clients, team members, leaders, and the corporate support team.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards set by Regis.
• Being willing and able to perform all services offered at the salon.
• Maintain flexibility in scheduled shifts to fit the needs of the business, including potential night and weekend shifts.
• Attend all required technical training sessions.
• Follow Regis policies as defined in the Handbook and salon specific operational procedures (including but not limited to bank deposits/runs, salon cleaning/maintenance, and disinfecting styling implements).

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)

• Work as a team-player and/or independently.
• Market yourself in the community and salon to increase your clientele.
• Possess exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Exhibit consistent and excellent customer service skills.
• Multi-task efficiently to complete salon duties.
• Show a willingness to learn new techniques and stay current with hair trends.
• The physical requirements of the position may require bending, sitting, twisting, turning, lifting (generally 10-15 pounds), and/or standing for extended periods of time.

Experience

• Stylist-in-Training – Graduated 90 days or less away from graduating from cosmetology school.
• Stylist – possession of a valid, current cosmetology or barber’s license.

Education

• Must maintain a valid cosmetology or barber’s license (or 90 days or less from graduating).
• All Stylists/Stylists-in-Training are required to complete assigned training as determined by Regis.
• *All Supercuts (SC) Stylists/Stylists-in-Training must participate in the Hair Stylist Academy (HSA) program and receive a certificate of completion.
