Job summary

Artistry Hair Studio is seeking an Apprentice Stylist to join a small, appointment-only salon in Beachwood, NJ. The role focuses on learning through one-on-one training with two stylists, including the owner, and covers fundamentals of blow dries, basic cutting techniques, and color placement.

The apprentice will greet clients, provide refreshments, shampoo, maintain salon cleanliness, handle laundry, and support senior stylists with services for existing clients on the floor.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Cosmetology permit/license.
• Apprentice will receive one-on-one, on/off-site training and education, including blow dry and basic haircut techniques.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prep clients as they enter the salon.
• Provide refreshments to clients.
• Shampoo clients.
• Keep the salon organized and clean.
• Perform laundry duties.
• Assist stylists with services for existing clients.

About Artistry Hair Studio:

At Artistry Hair Studio, we currently operate on an appointment-only basis, focusing on the importance of personal attention in order to provide the utmost customer service and client satisfaction. The staff consists of two stylists, one being the owner with an educational background in Vidal Sassoon, and an Apprentice starting on the floor.

The salon is eager to share our knowledge with future stylists. In becoming part of our team, you will receive one-on-one, on/off-site training and education on the perfect blow dry, various haircutting techniques, as well as color formulations and placement.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and setting up clients as they enter the salon
• Providing refreshments to clients
• Shampooing clients
• Making sure the salon is organized and clean
• Laundry duties
• Assisting stylists in various services with existing clientele
