Job summary

Mèche in Beverly Hills is seeking a full-time colorist assistant to thrive in a fast-paced upscale salon. The ideal candidate is quick-thinking, outgoing, and comfortable delivering a premier client experience.

You will support the colorists throughout the day, manage setup and breakdown, input prices into the POS, handle products and inventory, and suggest retail options to clients.

Qualifications

• California cosmetology license required.
• Knowledge of color brands and formulas.
• Previous salon experience preferred.
• Proficient with computer and iOS apps.

Responsibilities

• Provide highest standard of customer service.
• Set up and break down for the day, including pulling client cards and color, setting up station and supplies, inputting service prices into POS.
• Assist colorist throughout the day: holding hair/foils, toning and root glosses, washing hair, taking photos/videos.
• Anticipate client and colorist's needs.
• Ensure schedule runs on time to provide an elevated experience for client.
• Color and product inventory of colorist's stock.
• Suggest retail products to clients based on their needs.

Upscale, busy Beverly Hills salon is looking for a full-time colorist assistant.

Our ideal candidate is fast thinking, outgoing and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Duties Include:

• Provide highest standard of customer service.
• Setting up and breaking down for the day. Including: pulling client cards and appropriate color, setting up station/trays, preparing supplies, inputting client service prices into our POS system.
• Assisting colorist throughout the course of the day: holding hair/foils, toning and root glosses, hair washing, photos/videos of client hair, etc.
• Anticipate client and colorist's needs.
• Ensure schedule is running on time to provide a smooth, elevated experience for client.
• Color and product inventory of colorist's own stock.
• Suggest retail product to clients based on their needs.

Required Qualifications:

-MUST have current California cosmetology license.

-Some knowledge of color brands and formulas.

-Previous salon experience is preferred.

-Computer (PC) and iOS app familiarity and literacy.
